Abstract: The present invention relates to a process wherein the recovery of zinc from zinc dross and other valuables products have been explored. The process, in particular, deals with the hydrometallurgical processing of zinc dross via sulphuric acid leaching-precipitation route to obtain zinc phosphate and other valuable products like ammonium sulfate and mixed iron hydroxide-calcium sulfate. These valuable products find its application in iron making, corrosion resistant paints and fertilizers. In addition, the process does not generate any effluents, therefore, commodious in environment.
