| Abstract: | The apparatus is designed for the distillation of essential oils and hydrosols such as attar of roses from fresh and dried vegetation material, on selection from water distillation, water and steam distillation and steam distillation as under atmospheric and under pressure which is higher or lower than the atmospheric one. The apparatus can be used in the fields or in remote agricultural areas for the production of essential oils with a capacity and quality, satisfying the needs of the small farm producers. The apparatus includes a heated distillation vessel (1), closed by a lid (3), supplied by a safety valve (21), instruments (20) for measuring pressure and temperature at the discharge steam hole (9), connected by means of a connection with sealing with inlet hole of the vertical column for multiple distillation (8), the outlet hole of which is connected by means of connecting means to the inlet hole (10) of condenser (11), supplied with a closing-type vent (15) which can be connected to a vacuum pump. The outlet hole (12) of condenser (11) is connected by means of a dismantable connection (14) to a vertical collecting-separating column (13) with discharge hole (23), controlled by a drain cock (18). Column (13) in its lower and middle part is connected to the upper part of column (8) by one or more recycling pipelines (16), supplied with control valves (17, 19). Vessel (1) is supplied with a sieve-like intermediate bottom (5), mounted with a facility for vertical shifting along the height of vessel (1) by means of a threaded rod (6), fitted concentrically to bottom (2) of vessel (1). In an embodiment under the intermediate bottom (5) of vessel (1) a steam blower (24) is fitted having apertures for feeding steam into vessel (1) from a steam generator. | ||
