| Abstract: | The present invention provides a synergistic herbal composition useful for lowering elevated levels of blood glucose, which comprises the plant extracts of Gymneme sylvestre (Gudmar), Tinospora cordifolia (Giloy), Pterocarpus marsupium (Vijaysar), Trigonella foenum graecum (Methi), Rubia cordifolia (Majeeth) and Berberis aristata (Daru Haridra) together with pharmaceutically acceptable additives. The process of the preparation of the said formulation comprises mixing of extracts of the above herbs optionally along with additives to form the oral dosage forms, which include capsules and tablets. | ||
