| Abstract: | A powdered Cu-Pb-Zn ore conc. is autoclave-leached 2-4 h with aqueous NH4OH and (NH4)2SO4at 85-120°and 2-7 kg O/m2. Pb-containing solids are separated from the leach containing Cu, Zn, and Cd, and then leached further with an aqueous solution (30-80°) containing excessive FeCl3to recover Pb chlorides. The initial leach liquor is treated for: (a) extraction of Cu with com. LIX 64N in an organic solvent (esp., kerosine), and (b) extraction of Zn with com. Hostarex DK-16 (C16H22O2). The extracted metals are stripped to obtain concs. for electrowinning. | ||
