| Abstract: | The present invention suggests the application of waste tyre rubber granules and fly ash with cement and water in the development of a light weight porous composite matrix that can levitate the development of acoustic panels, exhibiting noise attenuation. The composite matrix (mixing ratio of 0.36:0.29:0.07:0.28 (Waste Tyre Rubber Granules: Fly Ash: Cement: Water) renders maximum sound absorption. Augmenting the porosity of the composite mixture, the incorporation of waste tyre rubber granules enhances its sound absorption capabilities. Consequently, the present invention envisions an environmentally friendly and cost-effective approach that avoids the use of chemicals. This approach involves integrating industrial wastes, specifically waste tyre rubber granules and fly ash, into a composite mixture suitable for application in a variety of forms within the environmental and construction sectors. |
