| Abstract: | A flow velocity enhancement device structure (1A) for energy conversion comprising channel with varying cross sectional area (1), water wheel with multiple of paddles (2), wall of the channel (3), inclined channel base (4) at the inlet, narrowest section (5) of the channel, an inclined channel base (6) at the outlet, side opening (7), sliding gate, external flow compartment (8), electric generator, The invention relates to a hydroelectric power generator from a river, shallow tide, or any water body, and more specifically, to a water wheel-like device, or any other energy converter, that generates power from flowing water. The channel (1) of the device structure is made from metal, non-metal, composite, or concrete. The device structure (1A) increase the energy conversion efficiency by increasing the natural speed of the flow by reducing the cross-sectional area of the device in the direction of the flow. |
