| Abstract: | Disclosed herein is a multifunctional formulation comprising essentially Aluminium hydroxide, PEG and a non-ionic surfactant, dispersed in an aqueous medium. The formulation primarily finds application in the leather processing industry to produce fire- and flame-retardant white leather. It may also be used for making industrial safety leather apparels. An eco-friendly process for the preparation of the formulation is also disclosed. |
