| Abstract: | With the necessity of clay mould dryer apparatus, artisans and industries of metal and alloys melting clusters in different district and states of India will be benefited for preparation of moulds in production of artefacts. The present invention employs a portable cone- shaped apparatus with a baffle filter mechanism for drying clay moulds, heating raw materials and resin recovery for reuse in mould preparation. The apparatus mainly comprises of a portable cone-shaped shell, hinged cover, flue gas outlet, baffle filter, inlet port of clay dryer, air inlet port of furnace, resin recovery channel and mould support structure. The hot flue gases (250-2800C) used for preheating a batch of 5-15 clay moulds in dryer shell. The dried mould is then fed to a conventional furnace for the final heating temperature of 600-8000C. Spatially designed baffle filter is simple in fabrication and requires no maintenance. This design is so developed for economic and eco-friendly use for artisans and industries. Fig. 1 | ||
