Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the selective crystallization of sulphate salts using antisolvent such as methanol, ethanol etc. from a mixture of salts in  solution. Antisolvent is added to the mixture of salts containing sulphate salts to an extent of 50% (v/v) compared to the mixed salt solution at room temperature with  stirring. Sulphate salts crystallize and are separated by filtration followed by washing with saturated sulphate solution. Antisolvent is recovered from the mother liquor  for reuse.
