Abstract:
The present invention relates to an efficient process for producing bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) in high yield and in shorter duration of 5-10 days. More particularly  the present invention provides a process for producing bacterial nanocellulose by using a rotatory disc bioreactor. The bacterial strain used to achieve high concentration  of BNC is K. rhaeticus MCC 0157.
