| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a field of biopolymers and microbial fermentation. Specifically, the present invention relates to a microbial process for industrial production of a biopolymer. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for synthesis of poly-γ-glutamic acid from maltose and sugarcane bagasse. The process of the present invention is devoid of pre-treating of raw materials (biomass) thereby eliminating environmental and cost concerns. |
