Abstract: In the present invention, high electric and thermal conducting carbon foams reinforced with graphite fibers were studied. For the  fabrication of carbon-carbon composite foams, phenolic resin with different contents (0 -20 wt %) of graphite fibers was mixed using  a magnetic stirrer for making a homogenous slurry, and then PU foam was impregnated in this slurry followed by oxidation  stabilization and carbonization. The addition of graphite fibers has improved the electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties of  carbon-carbon composite foams. The study on the morphology of the carbon-carbon composite foams via Scanning electron  microscopy (SEM) indicated a strong bonding between the fibers and carbon matrix. Fig. 1
