| Abstract: | Present study reveals a process to develop glass foam bricks (of compressive strength 3MPa) and tiles (of Thermal conductivity =0.1 W/m.K) utilizing 98-99 % waste glasses obtained from various sources. Use of single foaming agent helps to generate identical pore within the foam body and thereby to maintain uniform porosity. Low temperature sintering maintain high viscosity which keeps small pore diameter. Less amount of foaming agent prevents collapsing of bubble during foaming and enhancing closed porosity. |
