| Abstract: | The present invention discloses a system realized for near eye augmented reality display (AR) with single panel-colour and enhanced field of view (FOV). Single wavelength/ colour laser is used to record Bragg matched multiplexed holographic optical elements (HOE) to be used as in-coupler (23) and out-coupler (24) of the holographic waveguide (7). The number of sub-HOEs multiplexed in the main HOE are two or more. For a given bandwidth of the display source, more the number of multiplexed sub-HOE higher the colour uniformity. These multiplexed HOEs are used to realize the single panel-colour display. A holographic waveguide with multiplexed VHGs including a primary grating (12) and two secondary gratings as secondary grating-1 and secondary grating-2 (11 and 13) is designed to reduce chromatic dispersion at the edges of the displayed image. |
