| Abstract: | The present disclosure relates to a novel process for the depolymerization of waste polycarbonates (PC), into valuable carbamates and diols through a greener approach. Specifically, present invention relates to an efficient and environmentally friendly process to depolymerize polycarbonates into monoaminocarbamate, bisaminocarbamate, and their diol without employing catalysts or additives and operates at ambient temperature under air, utilizing green solvents. |
