| Abstract: | Brine sludge is a chloral-alkali industrial waste generated during caustic soda and chlorine production manufacturing. Brine sludge has multifarious multicomponents chemical constituents like barium sulfate, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, clay, chromium, vanadium etc., posing an environmental threat. Therefore, there is an urgent need to convert brine sludge waste into a useful form. In the present invention, the brine sludge, along with Fly ash/ metakaolin being the rich source of alumina and silica, the chemical constituents of the bamboo and seawater along with raw natural rubber, have been chemically treated where in the simultaneous and synergistic chemical reactions among the chemical constituents of all the raw materials have been used for making advanced flexible and moldable material from novel brine sludge and bamboo based composition useful for a broad application spectrum. |
