Title:

An Environment-friendly Antifungal Gel to Store Maize

Value Proposition:

Our environment-friendly antifungal gel provides a sustainable and effective solution for protecting stored maize against fungal contamination and quality deterioration. Developed using biodegradable food-grade polymers and naturally derived antifungal compounds, the gel gradually releases active ingredients into the storage environment, suppressing the growth of major storage fungi such as Aspergillus and Fusarium.

Unlike conventional synthetic fungicides, it leaves no harmful chemical residues, minimizes environmental impact, and reduces the risk of fungal resistance.

Summary Application:

The environment-friendly antifungal gel is a novel controlledrelease storage technology that provides safe, sustainable, and effective protection against fungal spoilage in stored maize. It maintains grain quality and safety, reduces economic losses, and offers an environmentally responsible alternative to conventional chemical fungicides for postharvest maize storage. The technology includes incorporation of formulation in grain storage bags, seed storage containers, warehouses, silos, transport packaging, and community grain storage facilities, making it suitable for smallholder farmers, seed companies, grain processors, and commercial storage operators. By reducing dependence on synthetic fungicides, the antifungal gel offers a residue-free, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative that enhances food safety, extends storage life, minimizes postharvest losses, and supports sustainable grain storage practices.

Advantages:

1. Eco-friendly and biodegradable
2. Controls major storage fungi
3. Preserves maize quality and seed germination
4. Extends storage life
5. Residue-free, non-contact protection
6. Cost-effective and easy to use
7. Reduces reliance on synthetic fungicides
8. Supports sustainable and safe grain storage
