| Abstract: | The invention relates to an improved process of making cement concrete interlocking paver blocks using Kota-stone slurry. Kota- stone waste (KSW) was utilized to develop precast concrete interlocking paver blocks of strength grade ranging from M25 to M50; after crushing-sieving and gradation of the crushed stone waste into all-in-aggregates, as per IS- 383:2016. The trials to achieve maximum density particle grading were also done. In addition to this, Kota-stone slurry was heated at a high temperature (~850 0C) up to 1 hr., to increase the chemical reactivity of slurry. Further, maximum use of Kota-stone slurry and quarry waste was done to develop paver block alongwith quality control check in fresh and hardened state. Test results indicated that KSW can be effectively used to develop concrete paver blocks. Moreover, prior to curing; two layered lacquer coating was also applied over the face layer which decreased the permeability of surface of developed paver blocks. | ||
