Abstract:
An IoT-Based Landfill Fire Prediction System The present invention provides an IoT-Basedsystemfor predicting and preventinglandfillfires crucial for waste  management, environmental safety, and regulatory compliance. Prediction system is a solution designed to enhance municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill safety. This  system integrates thermal properties, waste classification, and real-time weather data to enhance landfill safety and resource optimization. Key components include data  collection sensors, a waste type differentiation system, a weather integration module, a risk categorization system, a forecasting model, an alerting mechanism and an  efficient user interface. This innovation significantly improves landfill safety, reduces false alarms, optimizes resource allocation, and contributes to sustainable waste  management practices. This comprehensive, proactive and multidimensional approach significantly improves fire prevention strategies in municipal solid waste (MSW)  landfills.
