| Abstract: | The present invention generally relates to a reverse atom transfer radical depolymerization method to depolymerize polyolefins into its corresponding alkyl monomers and short-chain alkyl halides with moderate depolymerization yield. Also, the present invention relates to repolymerizing of the depolymerized monomers to polyolefins. The depolymerization process only requires 1-2 steps and works under mild conditions. Moreover, the monomer, produced does not require any additional separation. |
