| Abstract: | The present invention discloses bamboo-biocomposite material and the process of preparation thereof. The present invention highlights a process of making non-wood biocomposites, i.e., bamboo biocomposite material comprising green bamboo, sugarcane bagasse fibers and other novel hybrid lignin - starch based biobinder bamboo to make uni-directionally, bi-directionally, randomly oriented fiber in biocomposites. The selection of unique ingredients and their synergistically combined and controlled effect in the chemical architecting of molecular moieties present in various raw materials, namely bamboo fibers, Bagasse fiber, natural starch resources, either corn, wheat, potato, rice, tapioca, sago or rye starch along with lignin, sodium hydroxide, vinegar, glycerine etc., in an appropriate ratio of the reaction processes via constant and continuous magnetic stirring under mild temperature and optionally using heating by microwave irradiation enabling to obtain the novel hybrid lignin- starch-based biobinder composition for further developing novel bamboo biocomposites materials. Designing molecular moieties leads to obtaining advanced hybrid biobinder material using a simple and easily operated experimental setup. |
