Biomimetic Electrospun Collagen - Graphene Nanocomposites

Manufacture of  graphene nano-composites through electrospinning

It can be used for biomedical applications, electronic applications/coatings.

• Exfoliation of natural graphite using collagen. It bypasses the graphite oxide route, hence lesser defects.
• Spinning of graphene- collagen with PVA polymer to form fibres with varied applications.
• Yield varies from 0.03-0.05% as compared to the reported best of 0.3%.
