Synthesis of Polymer Base Hydroxyapatite Block using biomimetic route.

The application of the nanocomposite is as a load bearing synthetic bone graft. The compressive mechanical strength of the nanocomposites is in the range of 2-12 MPa.

• The product is a novel three dimensional load bearing polymer- hydroxyapatite nanocomposite. It has been synthesized through biomimetic route.
• The process is in situ, simple and cost effective. 
• It does not involve any toxic cross linker and works at near ambient conditions.
