| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a sustainable and ecological system for wastewater treatment based on the principles of phytoremediation and bioremediation. The Compact Cascading Integrated Constructed Wetlands (CICW) system combines various types of constructed wetlands in to uniquely engineered, compact design that integrates preliminary, primary, secondary and tertiary wastewater treatment in a single modular, multi-unit, multi-layer and multi-storied concentric circular and rectangular configurations arranged in a cascading manner. The CICW system offers comprehensive solutions for treating wastewater from sanitation facilities, housing colonies, public entities, and business establishments, enabling the reuse and recycling of treated water for purposes such as irrigation, floriculture, cleaning, flushing, rejuvenation of water bodies among others. |
