Compact Vehicle Integrated Mechanized Septic Tank Cleaning Machine

CSIR-CMERI has developed a vehicle-integrated system to mechanize septic tank cleaning under government's Swachh Bharat Mission for faecal sludge management. This innovative solution features a specialized vehicle equipped with a pump to efficiently suction out faecal sludge. The system includes on-site dewatering processes to separate liquid and solid of the sludge, along with wastewater treatment capabilities. By automating the cleaning and treatment process, this technology significantly reduces the risk of human exposure to sludge, improves cleaning efficiency, and minimizes environmental contamination. Additionally, the compact design of the system makes it suitable for navigate in narrow lanes.
