| Abstract: | The present invention discloses the compounds of general Formula-I wherein, X is selected from Br and Cl. The compounds of Formula-I are used in the selective detection of DCP (diethylchlorophosphate, a known sarin simulant) in the solution and vapor phases without any interference from other challenging simulants. Instant observable colour changes of the strips made out of compounds of Formula-I in the presence of DCP was also perceived by the naked eyes under a hand-held UV lamp. |
