| Abstract: | The present invention uses Far Ultra Violet light (UV-C) to inactivate germs, bacteria and viruses set on the surfaces of keypads, touch screens, thumb or finger scanner as well as entire front surface of a biometric identification device before every use. The biometric device or similar device is placed in a contactless disinfect chamber. The present invention ensures to run UV C shower on the surface of the interacting device i.e. biometric device or similar device before every use. It ensures to automatically run the disinfect process once the first user left the device after use. Similarly it runs the disinfect process and keeps ready the system disinfected before use by the next user and thus the disinfection process continues automatically. The disinfection system uses a motorised automatic shutter, proximity sensors and UV-C lamps. The System has the flexibility (in prototype) to set the UV shower time for the minimum required dose of energy in mJ/cm2. Fig. 1 |
