| Value Proposition: | Traditionally, Ragi mudde (finger millet ball) is being consumed for many centuries in India, particularly in south India. Due to the low glycemic index of ragi and the rich nutrients like calcium, iron and dietary fiber, it is considered a wonder food. Ragi mudde is one of the best foods for all cross- sections of the society from small children to old age people, hardworking labourers to the executives working in offices, from poor people to the rich. | Summary Application: | Nearly 60 to 70% of ragi flour produced in Karnataka is utilized for the preparation of ragi mudde. The mudde making unit is useful for schools (mid-meal program), hostels, departmental and industrial canteens, ashrams, central service canteens including railways and jails. |
