Title:

Deflouridation of Drinking Water Using Nano Adsorbant Based Domestic Filter

Value Proposition:

The developed adsorbent and the device can efficiently remove fluoride from the contaminated water, thereby can be very helpful to provide fluoride free drinking water to the large population of India especially living in the fluoride affected areas.

Summary Application:

The technology invloves the development of novel indegeneous process for bulk synthesis of nanoalumina that can remove 15-18 mg/g of fluoride. The material was then incorporated in the sediment filter which can remove fluoride without using electricity. The device is user friendly, cost effective and gravity operated.
