Abstract:
A unique and efficient dry toilet system is designed to provide hygienic and  odour-free sanitation in cold and arid regions where water supplies are limited. The purpose of the invention is to develop a dry toilet system that enables separate  collection and treatment of excrement (faeces and urine) by adding the controlled natural organic material for decomposition of solid matter and sorbent of nutrients  from the urine. The advanced dry toilet is a closed and compact design with onsite separation, collection, treatment and stabilization of urine and faecal matter. The  system is sustainable, ecological and economical. The design is focused on ease of use, operation & maintenance and no manual scavenging. There are many benefits to  this dry toilet in an area with limited water availability specially in cold regions. The system does not require any electro mechanical units.
