Summary Application:

CSIR-NCL has developed an economical process for the production of novel thermostable bio-surfactants [mixture of 1-Pentanonacontene (C95H190) and 3-Hydroxy-16-methylheptadecanoic acid (C18H36O3]. Marine bacteria have used for production. Biosurfactants displayed excellent emulsification & oil displacement activity. It demonstrated excellent results as the spreader of pesticides formulations. It is available in solution & dry powder form. The Current process is validated at 14L scale. It is available for licensing/co-development.
