| Title: | Environment Friendly and Scalable Process for Recycling of Pharmaceutical Blisters (PBs) and Allied Packaging Wastes |
| Value Proposition: | The invention is related to the processes for the recycling pharmaceutical blisters and related multi-layered laminates by environment friend and scalable chemical methods for facile recovery of metallic and polymeric fractions. The recovered metals specifically aluminium and polymeric materials could be converted into value added products via waste-to-wealth methodology including recycling and upcycling strategies. The advantages of the process include high materials recovery rates, no environmental pollution, recovery/recycling of used chemicals and better economic and energy feasibility compared to otherwise popular cryogrinding & subsequent electromagnetic separation method. These systems have applications in societal, strategic and industrial sectors including but not limited to antistatic & electrostatic charge dissipation support/encasings, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding compositions, packaging or insulation materials, composites etc. Therefore, their utility is for MSMEs, start-ups as well as R&D labs or research oriented academic institutions, working in the above areas. |
