| Abstract: | The present invention provides oral gel formulation composition comprising a novel combination of essential oils of Monarda citriodora, Java citronella, Ocimum gratissimum or Ocimum basilicum and Cinnamon as active pharmaceutical therapeutic, in orally acceptable gel base for treating and preventing periodontal disease. It has found that mentioned essential oil combination exert biological effects in a synergistic manner. Said composition has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant property. |
