EV Kit for Retrofitment of 3W Diesel Autos into Electric Autos

There is an urgent need for an alternative, sustainable green mobility solution by faster retrofitting of the existing diesel autos into electric auto-rickshaws, and giving them a new lease of greener operational life for better economy of the users / owners

CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP)'s 3W EV kit would enable to convert diesel autos (of L5 category) into electric autos. Such device would mitigate unhealthy levels of air and noise pollution in many State capitals and other Tier-II and Tier-III cities. It is expected to reduce local vehicle emissions/ pollutants which cause public health issues. Such indigenous product is an import substitution and aligned with "CSIR Vision-2030", India's energy independence goal by 2047 and "Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Mission".

Converting pollution causing diesel autos into electric autos (using local make EV kits) would save fossil fuels, reduce vehicular emissions, noise and health hazards, and eliminate the environmental impact of scrapping vehicles.
