| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a low-temperature hot pressing of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) powder to fabricate hexagonal boron nitride compacts/discs/bodies. More particularly, the present invention relates to Fabrication of Hexagonal Boron Nitride Compacts/Discs/Bodies by Low-temperature Hot Pressing and the effect of sintering additives, pressures, and temperatures on hexagonal boron nitride powder compacts. Present invention provides a densified bodies (Compacts/Discs/Bodies) of Hexagonal Boron Nitride having a density of 2.05 to 2.09 grams/cm3 and an apparent porosity of 0.27-1.89% and reduce the sintering temperature of Hexagonal Boron Nitride powder by 600-800oC. |
