Abstract: The present invention relates to a cost-effective process for the synthesis of hyper-production of poly gamma glutamic acid using L- glutamic acid independent approach. Specifically, the present invention relates to synthesis of poly-gamma-glutamic acid (?-PGA)  from Jaggery, blackstrap molasses, and floral waste. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of  poly-gamma-glutamic acid in high yield and in the presence of Bacillus paralicheniformis NCIM 5769.
