| Abstract: | The invention relates to a cold storage system comprising of static unit wherein dried shredded paddy straw which has good thermal insulation property supported with wooden structure, plywood and galvanised iron sheets to prevent heat and moisture ingress from interior of cold storage to outside ambient and vice versa. The wall of the cold storage system comprising of sheetmetal as outer casing from both the sides and inner layers contains heat insulating material like wooden structure, plywood and stuffed dried shredded paddy straw. The adjacent walls and the corners are sealed using silicon sealant which provides thermal and moisture isolation from all the sides. This structure of the wall as explained above can prevent heat ingress and moisture ingress at the same time. A cold storage made of above-mentioned biomass insulation technology is designed and developed by replacing polyurathane foam as a thermal insulator for cold storage walls. Figure: 2 |
