| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a heterogeneous photocatalyst system for partial oxidation of C1-C2 alkanes into value added products, comprising visible-light active semiconductor material (M1VO4) assembled and integrated onto a mesoporous metal oxide supported onto support, wherein said M1 has different or interchangeable mixed oxidation states. Further, the present invention relates to a process of preparation of said heterogeneous photocatalyst system by doctor blade method for preparation of mesoporous metal oxide supported onto support, followed by SILAR method for assembling and integrating visible-light active semiconductor material (M1VO4). Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process for conversion of lower alkane (e.g. C1-C2, and a mixture thereof) into value added products by reacting saturated aqueous alkane solution in presence of said heterogeneous photocatalyst system and simulated solar light condition or direct sunlight in a photoreactor. |
