| Abstract: | The invention discloses high curie temperature lead free piezo material and also provides a process for preparation of different % of barium titanate / (Ba0.85Ca0.15)(Zr0.10Ti0.90)O3 (BCZT) and Ca2Nb2O7 (CNO). The compositions showed curie temperature up to 870 0C and maximum piezoelectric charge constant of 102 pC/N. The invention consists of preparation of individual barium titanate / BCZT and Ca2Nb2O7 material from its constituents. Individually calcined powders were mixed in proportions of 99.9: 0.1, 99:1, 95:5 and 90:10 % of barium titanate / BCZT and Ca2Nb2O7 respectively. The mixed powder was calcined at 1250 ?C and milled for 48 hrs in ethyl alcohol for reduction of particle size. Pellets of the material was prepared and sintered in air at 14500C. The sintered pellets were leveled and both the surfaces were coated with Ag-Pd paste and cured at 1000 0C to stick on the surfaces. The pellets were poled and electrical properties were measured. The maximum curie temperature of 870 0C is measured for 99.9: 0.1% Barium titanate+CNO sample with d33 ~ 26 pC/N, whereas maximum piezoelectric charge constant of 102 pC/N is measured for 99:1 % BCZT+CNO composition with curie temperature (TC) of 500 0C. | ||
