| Abstract: | The present invention relates to reversible and recyclable epoxy-based vitrimer 5 materials/composites having poly[1-oxy-2-hydroxytrimethyleneoxy-1,4- phenylene(dimethylmethylene)-1,4-phenylene] cured with hardening agent comprising of imine linkage for carbon fiber recovery. The present invention also relates to a method of synthesis of the epoxy-based vitrimers materials/composites including hardening or curing agents obtained from aldehydes and amines. The vitrimer materials/composites of the 10 present invention are useful in coating or wrapping H2 cylinders, wind mill blades, super car components, competitive sports equipment, carcinogenic liquid storage, and aircraft parts. |
