| Title: | High Performance Highly Modified Bitumen and Process Thereof |
| Value Proposition: | The Highly Modified Hybrid Bitumen (HMHB) is useful for reduction of flexible pavement thickness and for use in bituminous surfacing of perpetual pavements. Reducing pavement thickness will reduce requirement of mineral aggregates thereby helping towards goal of clean environment. Use of HMHB binder improves the visco-elastic behaviour of bituminous pavements at higher and intermediate temperatures and flexibility at lower pavement temperatures; thereby it withstands all loading conditions at varying temperatures. The increase in stiffness of mixture prepared using HMHB at higher temperature improves the viscous behaviour of pavements at high temperature and severe loading conditions. Therefore helps in bearing more number of cycles to failure at all micro strains compared to conventional VG-30/ VG-40 bitumen binders. Therefore, HMHB improves the life of pavements and useful for design and construction of highly traffic pavements and perpetual pavements also. |
