High Power Thyratrons (35kV/3kA) for Fast Switching Applications

Thyratron is a low-pressure gas discharge based plasma switching device used in high power unipolar pulse systems. These switches are presently being imported for driving pulse laser systems, crowbar systems, pulse modulators, accelerators, radars, etc. Keeping this in view, Thyratron Technology base has been established at CSIR-CEERI to meet the requirements.

These switches are presently being used for driving pulse laser systems, crowbar systems, pulse modulators, accelerators, synchrotron radiation source, radars, high energy physics, etc.
