| Abstract: | The present invention provides a hybrid drying system that integrates infrared-assisted drying, power ultrasonication, and a refractance window-based conductive drying mechanism to achieve rapid and uniform drying of plant-based leather alternatives and pulp-based biodegradable packaging materials. The integration of multiple drying techniques within a single operational unit result in significant reductions in drying time, enhanced energy efficiency, and improved product quality. The developed hybrid drying system facilitates controlled heat and mass transfer, improving surface morphology, fiber alignment, and mechanical integrity of dried materials. The technology is scalable for both batch and continuous processing, making it suitable for industrial-scale production of plant-based leather alternatives and biodegradable packaging materials. The present invention offers an eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to conventional drying technologies, contributing to sustainable material processing and circular economy initiatives. |
