Abstract:
Improved 4-port, 16-element Polarization Diversed High-Gain MIMO Antenna structure with reduced mutual coupling and method of fabrication thereof An improved  4-port, 16-element MIMO antenna structure (1) with reduced mutual coupling comprises of Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate (2), 4?1 array element (3), square slot  (4), conventional power divider (5), main feed line (6), 100-ohm lines (7), 200-ohm feed lines (8), dual semicircular symmetrical slots (9), high permittivity FR4  superstrate (10), PTFE spacers (11), ground plane (12), and four rectangular strips (13). The proposed MIMO antenna (1) has high-gain, compact and planar structure  and very low mutual coupling between elements. The improved MIMO Antenna structure (1) provides an impedance bandwidth of 6.43 GHz, a gain of 14.6 dB, an  isolation of -44.3 dB, and a simulated efficiency of more than 97% throughout the operating band which can be used for a high gain of 60 GHz applications such as  WiGig for 5G communication. Furthermore, the invention provides a method of fabrication of improved MIMO Antenna structure (1) comprising a plurality of steps.
