Abstract: A new design for multifunction decentralized mobile solar hybrid distillation unit with hydraulic trolley that aids in effective trapping of solar energy  through solar panel structure fitted over the hydraulic trolley for generation of steam to carry out the distillation of aromatic crops to obtain the essential oils. The solar  panel mounted over the mobile tractor hydraulic trolley having foldable hydraulic solar panel structure that can move the solar panel structure in both directions to a  position at 24o angle to capture solar energy and generates steam. Alternatively, this distillation process can run without solar energy in particular night time using  direct wood/biomass burning. Hence this hybrid distillation unit has advantage over the existing process.
