Incense Cones from Herbs and Flowers

Value Proposition:

Incense burning usually emits dense smoke containing particulate matter, production of gases such as carobon monoxide, Carbon dioxide and produce volatile organic compounds. Incense smoke not only contain carcinogens but also irritants which leads to number of respiratory disorders. CSIR-IHBT developed an enviornmental friendly herbal incense cones by utilizing herbs and flowers including the temple floral offerings. 

Summary Application:

CSIR-IHBT has developed a technology for formulation of herbal incense cones from temple flowers offerings. 

Advantages:
  • Shelf life more than 12 months
  • Phthalate free, Charcoal free
  • Process standardized for various variant of incense cones such as Dhoop, Loban, Rose, Sandalwood, Guggal etc.
