Laced Steel Concrete Composite (LSCC) System

Value Proposition:

LSSC is an engineering system with enormous potential, direct use for structures resisting suddenly applied dynamic loads where high rotational capacity of the structural component is required, spin-off for use in other structures.

LSCC has enormous potential for direct use in structures, imparting resistance against suddenly applied dynamic loads and also spin-off for other similar structures.

This product is promising in construction of blast resistant explosive storage structures like chemical industry, fire works industry, etc.

  • Performance Comparison
    • LSSC beams are capable of undergoing large support rotation, nearly twice in comparison with other steel-concrete composite beams
    • Post-peak response indicate load drop of maximum 15% only for either monotonic or cyclic reversal load
    • LSCC beams possess 3x cyclic ductility factors as compared to laced reinforced concrete beams
    • For a given capacity, LSCC beams require same amount of material but offers superior performance
