Title:

Light-weight Cold Formed Steel-foam Concrete Quick Build Slab

Value Proposition:

A new profiled steel-concrete composite slab designed to reduce time, cost, and extremely lightweight by the efficient use of cold-formed steel and concrete.  It can either be pre-fabricated or cast in-situ. Either way, it alleviates the need of shuttering. Hence, overall construction costs and time are considerably reduced. Conventional profiled composite slabs are not popular for RCC buildings though several advantages over conventional slabs due to difficulties in combining the RCC beams with the composite slab. This new composite slab is designed to make this simple.

Summary Application:

Applicable to steel, concrete, and cold-formed steel residential and industrial buildings.

Advantages:
  • Weight of floor slab is around 85 Kg/m2.As the weight of the slab is lesser and no shuttering is required construction time can be reduced drastically
  • Cost effective
  • Less labor intensive
  • Safe for use in seismic sensitive zone
