| Abstract: | The invention is related to development of a magnetically levitated micro factory for micro machining comprises of a machine frame, a double sided platform of conductors with conductive traces on both sides on which a diamagnetic sheet of thickness in range 0.1-1 mm is attached rigidly, actuator rare earth magnets, a cutting tool in form of a laser head/ single point diamond turning insert and a controller to control the trajectory, laser power and depth of single point diamond turning tool to impart a maximum motion resolution of 213 µm, minimum feature size ranging between 300-700 µm and a maximum actuation force of 1.546 N for micro machining applications. |
