| Abstract: | The present invention relates to the metallic barrier coating of electroless nickel and electroplated copper on the inner and outer surface of additive manufactured thermoplastic-based composite pressure vessel liners and the process thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to electroless coating process for the deposition of nickel followed by electroplating of copper on the outer surface of the composite pressure vessel liner. The inner surface of the composite pressure vessel liner material was first coated by nickel followed by copper, wherein the outer surface of the composite pressure vessel liner was coated first by copper followed by nickel. The metallic barrier coatings coating enhances the strength and durability of the composite pressure vessel liner. | ||
